Hammer AASM, without and with DU

I am perplexed by the Hammer weapon, a kinetic bomb used by the French Armed Forces but also given to Ukraine. (Kinetic means that the HEU or Pu tip is compressed by the impact and that the criticity depends of the level of armour of the target)

This bomb shows up with a rising flash in the black and white video shown by The War Zone.

These plumes seen horizontally are akin to this one from another clean plutonium (“conventional”) bomb :

But here the Hammer used in fight by the Ukrainians is a DU weapon. No flash, a large heavy plume. On the soil the plutonium should light up.

It really goes on the sides

Here’s the weapon :

In my opinion the cylinder of the Hardback of the 1000 kg version has been refilled with DU by the Ukrainians.

This is confirmed by the absence of satellite DU peak around the Biscarosse military camp where the French Air Forces train :

Since it’s powder DU (magnet cleaned) it kills the compression which makes the weapon unable to undergo criticity (because the rear presses on the DU powder instead of the clean tip). Seriously unbelievable, the Ukrainian forces deliberately reject criticity to spread instead DU in inhabitations which could be used by the enemy. This behaviour has been seen already in the past. It’s a war crime and it’s bad that French weapons are used for that. It basically seems that the Hardback is a tritium injector. It has been diverted of its use to spread DU instead in this case.
