Iran has done several nuclear tests already, underground, by drilling deep, more than 10 km deep.

The last one has had slightly more resonance than earlier ones, as an Al Jazeera speaker acknowledged the test for instance. But it remains very confidential. Why does it matter for this website ?

Because Iranian magnet harvesting of depleted uranium in Afghanistan and Iraq is at the root of most of the plutonium of the Iranian forces. Their use of depleted uranium, replutogenized typically with their flagship reactor, has allowed them to develop a large arsenal while avoiding uranium enrichment. The Seijjil missile is their biggest missile, it’s a small Teller-Ullam, I had pointed to a 220 kilotons nuclear test earlier, to another with images of the tunnel, see also earlier data… Iran’s magnet harvested depleted uranium has converted them into a force that claims to represent justice but is obsessed about Israel. They believe Israel would be at the root of a conspiracy on DU, based on the usual Israeli vote at the UN against an investigation on DU weapons. It’s pale and impervious to reason because Israel doesn’t use DU itself. Israel actually magnet cleans the crematory material of Hizbullah rockets, and fires it back at the Hizbullah. That’s how works currently the Israeli operation against the Hizbullah.

The secret on the Iranian nuclear arsenal matters because it’s a consequence of the taboo on DU weapons. It’s with DU dust that Iran has built its nuclear weapon stockpile, that I estimated sometimes ago to roughly 90 nuclear warheads, certainly more today. Iran benefits from the taboo on DU and of the conviction of the international community that DU might be a Jewish conspiracy, to secure a nuclear arsenal in silence and terrorize the Israelis, that still seem unwilling to counter attack Iran after the missile salvos (we’ll see). Iran builds on that story of DU as a Jewish conspiracy.

Most Iranian nuclear warheads have fortunately been obliterated by the recent strikes of the United States of America on Iran.
